I CREATE
I am an Edinburgh based digital artist and painter, who creates landscapes and movie posters featuring the sights and landmarks of Scotland in full colour!
I created the Eddcsape Creates brand to produce high quality art prints alongside a range of cards and homewares.
My Poster Art and Landscapes largely but not exclusively feature our urban environment.
I love sharp lines, bright colours, rough textures, patterns and a little humour. Urban, industrial, residential and rural scenes all feature in my work. I am always on the look out for inspiration and with my camera as my viewfinder I am constantly snapping views, skies and textures which I use in my art. I use a mixture of mediums in both my paintings and Digital work.
My "MadeUp" posters series combines my landscape art with typography. Inspired by film, music and books these designs are filled with local trivia, history, pop culture references and humour. My inspirations include Pop Art, 20century advertising posters and Far Eastern art (especially calligraphy & woodblock prints).
environmentally Conscious
Throughout my business practice I try to be as environmentally aware as possible.
I have actively reduced single use plastic over the last few years. Examples of this include using paper packing tape; reusing postal packaging where possible ;using more paper products for display packaging and labels; recycling my studio waste.
Alongside this I use local/UK/Scottish suppliers to cut down on delivery mileage and I sell my artwork and products through local independent businesses.

Biography
Eddscape is Edd Wellesley-Davies
Hailing from all over the south of England his family settled near Reading. He graduated from Maidenhead Art College and then UWE Bristol achieving a BaHons in Fine Art. He has lived in Bristol, London and Edinburgh and now resides in the "Honest Toun" of Musselburgh. He went full time as an artist in 2012, setting up his business under the name EddscapeCreates.
He has exhibited extensively in Edinburgh and been featured in the Edinburgh Evening News, STV Online and Creative Collective Magazine. He has been a regular at - Colony Of Artists, Annual Exhibition / The WestEnd Craft,Art&Design Fair 3D2D / The Out Of The Blue Arts Market.
Edd has created artwork, logos, illustrations, murals & brochures for many individuals and businesses. Previous Commissions include - Colony Of Artists, The Seabird Centre, The Scottish Storytelling Centre, The Hanging Bat beer cafe; RSPB ; Alechemy Brewing ; Redbox Roasters Coffee ; Royal High Primary School and S.Lucas Ice Cream.
